Flame Goes To CL
First of all let me introduce my team, Flame.. It consists of Fansep, Bela, Stella and of course me :) we have a business project to be realized as our last assignment in our lovely campus, hohoho! Both the concept and the product development are in progress.. However, one thing we should mainly consider is about location!
Location, location, location.. We believe that location determines many things including whether the business will success or not, will survive or not. So it’s really really important to decide which location we’re going to open our business.
Then we were going to CL and did some survey there.. But before that, we gathered in Fansep's house (our unofficial basecamp). It was a long journey from BSD for God sake! Capitalized by courage and few directions from my friends, I began my journey.
At noon, I arrived at Fansep's house and I was the last person to arrive hehehe.. We've done R&D about our products and together tested them (thx God, I hadn't have lunch yet!) after had a round table discussion accompanied with fresh mangoes, then we decided to move on to the next destination, CL!
We went to CL on public holiday, so it was so crowded ladies n gentlemen! Fiuh, we went around the mall and look for the empty spaces. Well then we found a booth that the concept was really match with ours, "The Pan House" of course without conveyer belt, hoho! So, we just came by to buy some pancakes and peep inside the booth ;)
After a while took a walk around CL, the marketing office as well, we felt tired already and decided to go home.. After all, our journey wasn't useless at all coz we got some infos and knew the real situation of the location. We went home and for me, it's another long journey to be faced! Fiuh..

My Writing Task
Nobody wants to be failed. It’s a human nature because failure doesn’t feel good; moreover it may hurt a lot. Even though people hate to be failed, they experience failures in their life. Failure happens when people can’t reach their goals, targets or dreams. There are many factors affecting one’s success or failure, such as desire, effort and luck.
To begin with, failure can be caused by lack of desire. Desire is really important because basically it’s the origin of how people reach their goals. Without desire, people will do nothing to achieve the goals. Secondly, success depends on someone’s effort as well. Although one has a strong desire, it will mean nothing if she/he never puts desire into actions.
However, one can’t resist that luck also determines someone’s success. Sometimes failure isn’t caused by desire or effort problems but it’s simply because of the bad luck. Nobody knows whether they will success or not because everyone’s destiny is obviously in God’s hand.
I don’t agree with failure means lack of desire. Maybe it’s one of the reasons why someone fails but it can’t be proved and generalized that every failure is because of the desire. For example, in football match, most football team loses not because they don’t have strong desire to win. Double Journal Attack!
Kalo di RO (Ragnarok Online), karakter Hunter punya jurus yg namanya Double Strafe dimana skali manah, yg keluar 2 anak panah skaligus.. Jujur, gw plg suka ama ni jurus soalnya walopun mank nguras energi tp musuhnya cepet mati n efeknya keren, hehehe :p
Tnyata dlm kehidupan nyata, Double Strafe pun ada jg loh n sialnya gw yg jd korban, damn! Gw bknnya dipanah beneran, tp Double Journal cukup "membunuh" gw dgn cepat >.< gila dah, masa minggu ini tgsnya International Finance ada 2 jurnal bo! Mana 13 n 14 halaman pula.. Ampun deh biasanya 1 aja uda mau nyerah gw eh skrg 2 n smuanya dikumpul brg2, yaitu hr Selasa bsk.
Gw uda mulai nyicil c, kmrn gw baca jurnal ke-6 ttg Subprime Mortgage n br 2 halm uda ngantuk bgt jd tdr deh.. Yah gw qra munqn krn efek malem sbelumnya gw kurang tdr kali yah jd bawaannya ngantuk. Tp tnyata ga jg! Mank baca jurnal tuh bikin ngantuk bgt (setidaknya bwat gw yah) soalnya td pagi gw ampe tertidur di sofa pas baca pdhal gw uda cukup tdr malemnya. Jd yah inget2 deh kalo misalnya suatu hari nanti insomnia menyerang, yg gw butuhin adalah jurnal2 International Finance! Hahaha..
Pusinknya lg tuh saat mencoba mengerti isi jurnal yg mank ditujukan oleh org2 yg uda expert di bidangnya n membuat paper yg mengalir dr jurnal tsb.. Fiuh, gila bagi gw itu sungguh pekerjaan yg sngt berat krn menguras energi, waktu n pikiran. Dan kalo membayangkan itu smua dikalikan 2.. Ahh, tidakk! :'(

Indonesia Financial Literacy Seminar & Workshop
Hari ini gw menghadiri seminar n workshop yg berjudul "Initiating Indonesia Financial Literacy Roadmap" di UI. Smua berawal dr telp admin minggu kmrn yg nawarin gw utk ikut seminar brg Pak Lukas (wkt itu masih blum jelas gt ama topik sminarnya jd gw cm inget adminnya ngmng ada Pak Lukas nya doank, hahaha..) yah jelas gw mau lah! Mimpi aja ga pernah gw.. Trus gw disuruh nyari anak finance jg n gw usulin Ridho si manusia seminar, abisnya demen bgt c tuh anak ikut seminar, hehe :p
Brangkat jem 8an pk mobil kampus.. Tnyata Pak Aries jg ikut! Slama di mobil, kedua dosen finance itu bnyk ngbrl2 ttg peserta training2 gt kayanya, pokoknya yg pasti bkn mahasiswa S1 deh soalnya mereka jg nyebut murid2nya dgn Pak ato Bu hehe.. Trus gw dikasih voucher taxi Blue Bird bwat pulang soalnya ktnya mereka ada urusan, penutupan In House Training ato apa gt jd hrs balik duluan.
Seminarnya diadain di auditorium FE UI n pembicaranya tdiri dr 5 org.. Yg pertama Ligwina Hananto, tnyata dy toh yg siaran di Hard Rock FM ttg perencanaan keuangan hr Kamis gt soalnya gw sering denger iklannya hehe! Gila, seru bgt orgnya! Bener2 cocok bwat org2 muda, jd pengen dgrin Hard Rock nih hr Kamis bsk cm mslhnya gw lupa jem brp >.<
Trus ada jg 2 org yg ngmngin ttg riset2 gt gmn c melek finansial n info2 yg berkaitan dgn itu di klas menengah baik sektor formal maupun informal.. Tnyata masih bnyk bgt org Indo yg illiterate ttg masalah keuangan n yg jd fokus disini adlh golongan middle class, knp? Krn kalo gol bwh tuh boro2 bwat investasi dah, survive utk hidup aja susah! Sdngkan golongan atas pasti biasanya mereka pasti uda meng-hire profesional2 bwt ngelola kekayaannya.. Jd penting bagi golongan menengah ini utk sadar finansial kalo ga mau hidupnya merana.
Dan 2 org berikutnya berasal dr FPSB (Financial Planning Standard Board) n FPA (Financial Planner Asscosiation) yah sdikit2 promosi ttg Financial Planner jg c, CHP yg ktnya cm 400an org se-Indo n Pak Aries salah 1 nya hohoho keren2.. Tp ktnya license nya itu expired tiap 2 th, jd hrs diperpanjang n byr iuran tahunan 1 juta. Yah, ga ada apa2nya c kalo mank bs ngehasilin lebih n pastinya keren lah.. Become part of Financial Planner community yg scr standard diakui internasional :D
Bgs2 c presentasinya! Dan krn mank yg namanya Financial Literacy ato bhs gaulnya melek finansial berkaitan erat bgt ama kehidupan sehari2 jd rasanya lebih gmn yah familiar aja gt. Dr mulai ttg kartu kredit, bikin laporan keuangan pribadi, ngebhs org2 yg slalu kekurangan duit walopun penghasilannya gede, brp dana yg hrs qta sisihin utk mencapai goal2 qta ampe at the end bs mencapai financial freedom.. It's all how u plan n manage ur personal finance! Interesting, isn't it?
Stlh sesi tanya jawab, dilanjutkan dgn sesi mkn siang! Hohoho, sharusnya si Ridho kan sholat Jumat.. Tp akhirnya mkn dl brg2, alasan nemenin gw cm blkngan bilank jg mendingan makan dl biar konsenrasi sembahyangnya. Ntar kalo blum mkn, khawatir keabisan dll.. Hahaha, dsr2!
Abis istirahat acara selanjutnya adlh workshop mahasiswa, jd dibedain gt ama workshop dosen.. Yah scr judulnya jg Roadmap kan. Ada penjelasan bentar trus qta disuruh diskusi gt, dibagi 3 klmpk besar n akhirnya suruh presentasi gmn ide2 n action plan yg mungqn bs direalisasiin oleh kalangan mahasiswa terkait dgn financial literacy. Usulnya variatif, ada yg nargetin ke mahasiswa, UKM, bahkan ke anak kecil..
Workshopnya seru jg, jd qta tuh dr 9 universitas (sbenernya total 15 universitas, cm sisanya ga dtng kayanya) gt.. Ada yg dr SBM ITB, Bakrie University, Univ Pancasila, Trisakti, Unpad, dll. Cm gw agak cukup kaget jg loh, soalnya nama Prasetiya Mulya somehow tuh terkenal jg! Hahaha, abisnya sering jg nama2 Prasmul disebut ama pembicara gt trus dr omongan2 anak2 pas diskusi pun sptnya uda familiar aja ama Prasmul. Senanknya walopun kampusnya kecil tp namanya besar (ini istilahnya Ridho btw) ^^
Slese workshop, tuker2an info, ttd2 di buku Robert T. Kiyosaki "Financial IQ" yg jd door prize n dimenangin ama slh 1 anggota kelompok gw, ngantri ambil sertifikat.. Uda lamaa, eh tnyata tintanya abis! Cape deh, jdnya dikirim ntar.. Si Ridho ngambil modul dl bwat dosen, yah abisnya dosen Prasmul ga ada yg dtng workshop c kburu pulang jem 11an! Pdhal uda ada gt kurikulum Personal Finance jd tinggal diimplementasiin doank sbg matkul..
Abis itu mau pulang.. Sempet sperti anak kehilangan induk c. Bingung mau manggil taxi jg ga ngerti tmptnya dimana tepatnya gw n Ridho berada. Bs2 supir taxinya nyariin kemana2 kan.. Akhirnya menuju ke arah luar (krn ga tau itu dpn ato bkng) n ngeliat bikun! Td sempet nanya ke anak UI yg nitipin poster n surat undangan lomba ttg cara naek taxi dr dlm FE UI n dy bilank naek bikun aja turun di halte.. (ya ampun gw lupa lg namanya!)
Ya uda, ke halte pk payung gw yg ampir agak mau rusak.. Ujan soalnya! Sambil loncat2 menghindari genangan air akhirnya sampe jg di halte seberang n nunggu bikun. Lamaa.. Eh ada taxi yg nyala lampunya! Yes, lngsng deh msk n balik ke kmps.. Dingin bo di taxi! Macet pula, tp itu bkn masalah krn bukan kami yg membayar ;D

Akhirnya menuju ke arah luar (krn ga tau itu dpn ato bkng) n ngeliat bikun! Td sempet nanya ke anak UI yg nitipin poster n surat undangan lomba ttg cara naek taxi dr dlm FE UI n dy bilank naek bikun aja turun di halte.. (ya ampun gw lupa lg namanya!)
Ya uda, ke halte pk payung gw yg ampir agak mau rusak.. Ujan soalnya! Sambil loncat2 menghindari genangan air akhirnya sampe jg di halte seberang n nunggu bikun. Lamaa.. Eh ada taxi yg nyala lampunya! Yes, lngsng deh msk n balik ke kmps.. Dingin bo di taxi! Macet pula, tp itu bkn masalah krn bukan kami yg membayar ;D

It’s Been A While..
Since I took a nap.. I felt extremely sleepy coz I’ve just slept for 4-5 hours, 3 days in a row! Then today finally I fell asleep when I was counting money in my desk >.<
Since I made my own lunch.. Maybe the last time I cooked was on holiday, so it was 2-3 months ago?! Guess what, I made some chicken spaghetti today! Nyam2..
Since I read newspaper.. Well there were so many news, ads, movies info I’ve been missed :( but after all I got an opportunity to read one. On a comfy sofa, it was raining outside.. Hmm, so relaxing!
Since I accompanied my mom to go shopping.. I miss it so much! But it’s just been paid coz I had quality time with her just now ;)
Since I took care of my dog.. My dear Terry, sorry to ignore you yesterday n the day before.. I was so damn busy but we just had some fun today, right?!
Since I went home in the afternoon, just like old days! While mostly I go home when the sun goes down, today on 1.30 pm I was already at home. Believe it or not, it was a rare thing for PM’s student..
Since I didn’t make assignment when my laptop is opened.. So now I’m using my laptop pure for chatting, update blog n play Facebook. Say no assignment, yeah! Well at least for today, hehehe ;p

My First Week in November ‘09
It’s been a long time (for me) since the last time I wrote my blog.. So this is my first post in November 2009! The question is why I didn’t write my blog? It’s not because I have no idea what to write coz basically I have lot of things in mind but unfortunately I have no time to update my blog.. It’s pathetic, isn’t it? However, it’s better late than never so I’m going to sum up my week in this post. Enjoy!
Black Monday
- Investment & Portfolio Management exam, I was late n I really dissatisfied coz I made stupid mistake in the essay part >.< - Had a stressful phone call from a customer who made a lot of fuss, fiuh! - Business Valuation class was cancelled.. I confused to choose between some friends’ offering to go to PIM or study. Finally I was ended in library struggling to understand arbitrage triangle with Valen.
Enlighten Tuesday
- Had a morning confusing discussion with Isal n realized the pattern of arbitrage triangle that Valen n I found the day before was somehow mismatched.
- Hatching Program exam, a 2.5 hours close book case exam which at first I thought it would be a very long exam but in fact it wasn’t..
- Finally got an inspirational when looked at the magic triangle.. I swear I felt like Robert Langdon when he succeeds finding the meaning of a symbol! The difference is he has to save the world n I have to save my International Finance score ;p
Hilarious Wednesday
- Celebrated Reny’s birthday.. Bela, Fansep n I as busy birthday crews! Called her mom, bought a cake at Eaton (the highest value for money cake ever) n kept it in EDC refrigerator, wrote a birthday card, made surprises, photo session, cake cutting n eating session n presents opening session. Hopefully she had a very happy birthday then :)
- Just before an hour before the exam began, I accompanied Bela bought new t-shirt in Matahari, Citos. I’m still wondering now how we can still able to do that.
- International Business exam.. It was the first open laptop exam n the Wifi was on as well! But I wasn’t regret I didn’t bring laptop to the examination room..
Awesome Thursday
- International Finance exam, the most terrifying exam coz I thought I had chiong with this subject. Thanks God I could pass it well! ^^
- Delivered polo shirt for Prasetiya Mulya’s golf tournament n received cash payment on the spot, yeah!
- Got a phone call from Admin and got an exclusive offering (2 students only) to accompany Mr. Lukas (I really admire this Finance FM) attending finance seminar at UI..
Details Friday
- Business Law exam.. I wish I had UU PT 40 year 2007 n KUHD! Well I didn’t have it, so I just answered the questions with logic hoping my logic thinking wasn’t contradictive with the law exists..
- Prepared for the IIEF scholarship application documents such as CV, Letter of Reference, application form, transcript, ID Card, high school diploma n STTB, official letter from university stating that I’m still an active student, certificates, etc. Took from admin, photocopied, gave to FM.. And I succeed got 2 out of 3 confirmations from my FM to make a letter of reference for me.
- I did some home activities that I hardly did for the whole week.. Wash dishes, watched TV, read newspaper, an early evening bath, cooked rice, made pudding n played with my dog!
